- Fairhaven Park is a family-friendly recreational area with various amenities, including playgrounds, tennis courts, picnic areas, and hiking trails.
- Whatcom Falls Park—This 241-acre park offers a variety of trails, lush greenery, and stunning waterfalls. It is located at 1401 Electric Ave, providing a perfect escape into nature within the city.
- Lake Padden offers a range of activities, including a dog park, walking trails, tennis courts, a golf course, fishing, and off-leash dog areas. We love to hike the trails above Lake Padden on the West Side of the lake.
- Galbraith Mountain. The mountain biking trails can be accessed from several locations, but the main trailhead is at 3100 Samish Way.
- Bloedel Donovan Park, located at 2214 Electric Ave, is the place to access the lake and rent equipment. Lake Whatcom is huge, and we love taking out our boat for the day on this fantastic deep-water lake.
- Boulevard Park, where you can enjoy a delightful picnic or a leisurely day at the beach. This is a top pick for me. I love walking on the boardwalk and having Chai Tea and Woods Coffee in the North Part of the Park. Boulevard Park is located at 470 Bayview Dr.
