The Art Of Finding Your New Office Space

September 29, 2020 by Jolene

The Art Of Finding Your New Office Space  With all the uncertainty surrounding us, you may not think it’s time to find that new office space. But what if you have little choice? What if your business is expanding despite the current conditions. You can already feel the squeeze happening, and you know it’s time to move on up.

Where do you even start? Finding new office space seems to be a bit of a minefield, doesn’t it? That’s why we’ve put together this blog to help you out. So what should I do, and where should I start when searching for new office space?

The Earlier you start, the better prepared you can be

The last thing you want to do when you realize it’s time to start looking is wait. The longer you put it off, the less time you may have to find that perfect office space. How much time you should give it depends on your team size. If you have a larger team, then the ideal time to start is a good six months before you are ready to go.

There are many things that could hold you back and hinder you when looking for that ideal office space. This is why giving it as much time as you can is always best. You never know what the market is like until you start seriously looking. You could easily find yourself with little to choose from. Having more time gives you more flexibility. This means you can wait a bit longer for the perfect fit.

Work With Someone Who Can Help You.

Way too many people waste their time and energy attempting to do it on their own. So firstly, work out what you love about your current space and what you’d like to change. When you have a solid idea of what you are looking for, hire someone who can help you find it.

Knowing the approximate square footage, you are looking for can also save a lot of time and hassle. Knowing this number before you start means you’ll waste no time looking at office space that may be too small or too large for your needs.

Remember What The Say – Location, Location, Location

It’s always important to be sure of the areas you’d like to be in. This is very important if you have clients visiting your space. You want your clients to feel comfortable visiting you. Also, ensuring that your employees are not disadvantaged further is vital. Happy employees means happy clients. What we all want, right?

Make Sure Your Decisions Are Made With Your Head, Not Your Heart.

If you find something you like, and fall in love with it, you could end up choosing something that doesn’t quite fit your needs. Also, basing your decisions on convenience or price alone could cost you. Be sure that when deciding on the office space, you make your choice with practicality.

There are plenty of things to consider when finding your new office space. The best advice I can give you is to make sure you enlist the help of an expert.
